This part of Morocco is so beautiful you will get scenery fatigue. Best picnic lunches on any bike trip I have been on. Everyday riding was part gravel, double track MTB and road with a fantastic descent near the end of the trip. Don't waver: rent the eMTB. Those of us who did were keen riders, and we thanked the e bike gods on the big climb. We had cool weather in April, it was chilly at 2000m. Glad I had my own saddle, pedals, Camelback, Long sleeve MTB jersey, knee warmers, warm vest ,long gloves, light jacket, two buffs.

MOROCCO – Clearly the Land of Enchantment!

Just back from my second redspokes adventure in under six months, and it’s very clear why we keep coming back. It’s also no surprise why I meet so many redspokes veterans on these trips — we all say the same thing. The people behind the company genuinely love cycling, and the whole team works hard to make sure everyone shares the same amazing experience, from signing up right through to every detail on the trip itself.

We started in Marrakech and, after a transfer almost to the top of the Atlas Mountains, spent the next two weeks riding through Morocco’s incredible “outback” — valleys lined with date palms, dramatic mountain gorges, remote landscapes, and both bustling and quiet towns along the way.

The accommodation was wonderful throughout, with every place offering its own unique character and atmosphere. Lawson, along with Mohammed, Abdul and Abraham, could not have done more for us. With the many stairs we encountered at some accommodations, thanks to the team the hardest thing we had to do was push our suitcases through the bedroom door!

Every day, when we arrived at our lunch stop, the crew already had tables laid out with freshly prepared hot and cold dishes waiting for us. But that’s nothing unusual for redspokes — it’s simply the level of care they provide on every trip. We were looked after like kings and queens.

Like any cycling adventure, there are always challenging moments, whatever the rating. This trip included three riders aged 70 and over, and every one of them handled the route well and fully enjoyed the experience.

There are many cycling holidays out there to choose from, but from personal experience I can honestly say you will struggle to find a better organised operation with such attentive staff and outstanding value for money.

So go on — take that mouse, click on the trip that inspires you, and book it… just like I’ll be doing again soon.

Now then… where to next?

Our recent trip to Morocco with Red Spokes was the perfect blend of challenge and comfort. Our guides were patient and engaging, the food was plentiful (we were never far from a delicious tajine) and the other travellers were experienced and really fun.

We felt a great sense of accomplishment and it was very special to have our son Aaron along with us. Now our only problem is to decide where to go next!

This was our fifth trip with Red Spokes and was as enjoyable as the previous trips. The cycling was challenging, but achievable and the destinations all well worthwhile.

We began with a few days in Marrakesh, but you have to get out of that city to really experience Morocco and Red Spokes provided that opportunity. We have already booked our next adventure with Red Spokes.

This Redspokes trip to Morocco was truly remarkable. I hadn't expected to see such awe inspiring scenery from one day to the next and we were well looked after by a lovely team led by Hassan and Lahcen with delicious lunches freshly prepared every day. This trip will be hard to beat!

Particularly memorable were the night at the Eco Lodge where the guides entertained us with their local music and also the excellent food at the stay on the 4th night in Agdz (best non tagine) & 9th night in Msemrir (best tagine).

What a great tour! It blends stunning landscapes and a variety of cycling styles with a good mix of historical and cultural insights. The travelling catering was a great idea, providing us with uniformly excellent lunches.

Our guides were fantastic, and perhaps the greatest surprise of the trip was how friendly and welcoming the Berber people in the Atlas mountains were. I've been on a few Redspokes trips now, and this one ranks at or nearthe top.

Hand a wonderful tour of Morocco. Tour leaders and support staff were amazing. Some of the climbs were a little tough for me but I had a blast anyway.

Scenery was stunning.
Highly recommended.

From the High Atlas mountains, through palm-filled oases fringing the Sahara Desert, and past a thousand dusty Kasbahs, this was a wonderful introduction to the history, people, culture and remarkable scenery of southern Morocco. The genuine care and friendship of team leaders Lahcen and Hassan - and the entire support team - kept our group of 16 riders motivated, even on the hottest and toughest of days.

Berber drumming and dancing under a full moon, and substantial cooked lunches prepared by our own chef in the most remote locations are just 2 of many highlights.

I really enjoyed everyday of this Morocco cycling adventure. The leaders Lachen and Hassan were phenomenal. They were kind smart warm and helpful. They worked hard to help us understand and appreciate what we were seeing and experiencing. The support crew also excellent with great on the road lunches prepared daily by Mohammed.

Absolutely brilliant trip with exceptional guides and support team, lovely group and breathtaking scenery. Every day was magical with gorges, desert, villages, bit of bumpy off-road, a few steep inclines and some great descents. Lunches prepared by the cook were outstanding.

People everywhere were welcoming and was great to experience the smaller villages and towns. The hotels with swimming pools were much appreciated! Please note: September was very hot with temps of 34-35 degrees in full sun (no shade biking) on a number of days particularly in the afternoons and apparently that is unusual at that time of year in the mountains. Overall, this is my favourite Red Spokes trip to date. I've never seen scenery like it. Don't miss this trip.

From Marrakech’s vibrant streets to the quiet switchbacks of the Atlas, Morocco offers a cycling experience rich in colour and culture. You discover more than just breathtaking scenery, you find a rhythm that connects body and mind. Each climb, each curve, each shared meal is part of a story that stays with you long after the wheels stop turning. Redspokes always delivers memories. You forget the rush of home and remember how it feels to simply move, breathe, and be.

Great to be on the inaugural trip to Morocco with a vintage selection of “Red Spokers”.

Avoiding a long haul flight was a big bonus and the time in Marrakesh was a welcome contrast to the Cycling. The team did a great job on their first trip of this type and I thoroughly enjoyed the Off Road segments.

The local people in the mountains and villages are very generous and welcoming. A couple of the stops were truly exceptional.  As always thanks to my fellow travellers for being such great company.

The itinerary was excellent: good roads (except where off-road!) with little traffic, dramatic scenery, pleasant temperatures for the most part, good food and accommodation, and as usual, great company.

The mountains of the high Atlas were a spectacular highlight with the villages on the oases a welcome bit of colour and life. I enjoyed the mix of road and off- Road cycling throughout. But, it's the guides and crew that made this tour so good. They were passionate in sharing insights into the culture of the region and their Barber heritage.

We met and were welcomed by so many people en route including nomadic shepherd's. Amazing.
The food was plentiful and good especially at the roadside prepared by the crew who carried bags, fixed and cleaned bikes and were positive throughout. An incredible insight to Morocco!

Redspokes tours seem to attract the kind of people who I would consider to be friends.

This trip succeeded in this regard. It's the people who make the trip memorable.
